About music
Curly Strings and friends’ album “Lastele” is a fun album that brings together excellent Estonian musicians who are also parents. Each of them brought with them one song that they have sung to their children or even created with them. Curly set them to the soundscape of their band, and in the joint performance, this album consisting of 12 songs features both new creations and old classics.
In addition to Curly Strings, musically, Ivo Linna, Robert Linna, Mari Jürjens, Lenna Kuurmaa, Mari Kalkun, Ewert and The Two Dragons, Liisi Koikson, Jalmar Vabarna, Marge Niller, Adeele Jaago and the Tartu Laulupesa singing studio contribute.
The digital version of the album includes a download link to all 12 tracks in MP3 and WAV format. The physical version of the “Lastele” album includes, in addition to the physical CD, a song and coloring book with the story of all the tracks, lyrics, sheet music, and fun illustrations.
The charitable side of the album
All proceeds from the album will be donated to the NGO Children and Youth Crisis Program. The donation will help the NGO Children and Youth Crisis Program to implement activities to support families with children who have lost a loved one. By noticing children in grief, the child’s family will be given the opportunity to help them cope better with their loss. To this end, the crisis program organizes grief support camps for children and youth, conducts individual grief counseling and group work for children and their loved ones. The program has been offering support to children, youth and families consistently for 25 years. The first grief support camp took place in the summer of 1995. To date, more than 1,000 children and youth have participated in the children’s camps. Together with individual support, the number of people who have received this support is much, much higher.
